General Comments

The Owner has moved into the auxiliary gym locker rooms, Bookstore area, Planetarium, Radio and TV area, and the Black Box Theater.  They should move into the new Media Center in the next two weeks.

 

Site Work

The outdoor dining area is complete.  We have started some site work around the new storage addition.

 

New 2-story Classroom Addition – Administration Area

We will complete the terrazzo flooring next summer.
Partial Upper Unit C / Unit A (Band / Orchestra Addition)

Unit C:  Training Room and Concession Stands are complete.  The ceramic tile work being performed between the gyms should be finished next week.

 

Unit A:  The display cabinets should be completed within the next two weeks.

 

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms

Pool:  The pool liner and the resinous flooring are complete.  We are working on getting the HVAC under control to begin using the pool within the next week or two.

 

Commons Area Steel

The finishes are 99% complete.  Work continues on the lighting, wood trim, display cabinets, and flooring.  The acoustical clouds are complete.

 

Mechanical Pipe Routes

The mechanical room work will continue throughout the project.

 

Aux Gym Locker Rooms

All locker rooms are complete.

 

New Kitchen & Cafeteria

The new storefronts/doors leading to the Commons and hallways are complete.  The ceiling at the rotunda within the cafeteria is complete.  The casework (barstool tops) around the perimeter should be complete by the end of the month.

 

New Science Rooms

Metal stud framing and drywall are continuing, masonry is 50% complete and the mechanical, electrical, fire and plumbing rough-ins are about 50% complete.  Drywall will be finished and painted and the flooring will be installed prior to the science casework arriving on October 26th.

 

New Media Center

Metal stud framing is complete, drywall has been installed, masonry is complete, and the mechanical, electrical, fire and plumbing rough-ins are complete.  Flooring has started and Media Center furniture has been delivered.

 

We have encountered a water problem that will impact the schedule for turning over the new media center.  We are working promptly to resolve the issue.

 

 

Unit B – Auditorium

New pit wall is complete.  The pit covers have been installed.  The stage floor refinishing will be scheduled at a later time.

 

 

Skylights and Light Monitors

Work is underway on the skylights and light monitors.  Three of the skylights already have the existing roof deck removed and are open to the space below.  The rest of them will be cut out in the coming weeks.  We will begin installing finish surfaces along with the glazing.

General Comments

 

The project is complete.  We are closing the contracts and wrapping up loose ends.

 

 

Site Work

Soccer fields have been re-graded and the under drains have been repaired.  The parking lot paving, striping and parking bumpers have been installed.  The concrete work and the installation of the scoreboard are complete.  The site contractor has reseeded and strawed all areas that were re-graded.  Some areas will need to be reworked as weather permits.  The fencing is complete.

 

 

Buildings

Concession Building  -  Electrician has finished all the change order items.   The locker tops are complete.  The HVAC has been balanced.  All final cleaning has been completed.

 Site Work

General Comments

Site Work

 

All sidewalks, seeding and paving have been completed with the exception of the rear of the building.  Masonry on Storage Room (B170) and work on the exterior patio off of the Cafeteria have started.  The curbs, sidewalks and seeding at the rear of the building should be complete this week.  The installation of the exterior light poles has started and we will complete the installation of the flag pole this week.

 

 

New 2-story Classroom Addition – Administration Area

 

We have completed the resealing of the block within the corridors.  The Main Rotunda and doorways to the Office Area are complete with the exception of the terrazzo flooring, which will be completed next summer.

 

 

Partial Upper Unit C / Unit A (Band / Orchestra Addition)

 

Unit C:  All ceilings and Health Rooms are complete.  Training Room and Concession Stand is nearly complete.

 

Unit A:  Rotunda is complete including the flooring.  The display cabinets should be completed within the next month.

 

 

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms

 

Pool:  The pool liner is nearly complete and we will begin resinous flooring on August 17th.

 

Pool Storage Rooms:  These rooms are complete and have been turned over for the Owner’s use.

 

 

Commons Area Steel

 

All steel and glass are complete.  The finishes are 90% complete.  We will continue on the lighting and will start the work on the wood trim and display cabinets.  We will schedule the acoustical clouds and flooring throughout the school year.

 

 

Mechanical Pipe Routes

 

The mechanical room work will continue throughout the project.

East locker rooms are complete and are turned over for the Owner’s use.

 

The Middle and West Locker Rooms masonry work and locker benches are complete.  The painting and ceiling grid work have started.  The lockers have been delivered and installation will begin soon.  The doors have been installed.

 

 

New Kitchen & Cafeteria

 

All work in the Kitchen, including the equipment, is complete and in working order.  The Cafeteria is complete with the exception of the new storefronts/doors leading to the Commons and hallways.  The ceiling at the rotunda within the cafeteria will be continuing.  The casework on the North wall that joins the Commons will be completed this week.

 

 

New Special Ed Area – FACS Lab

 

Area is complete and ready for Punch List.

Area is complete and ready for Punch List.

 

 

New Science Rooms

 

Metal stud framing and drywall are complete, masonry is 30% complete and the mechanical, electrical, fire and plumbing rough-ins are about 50% complete.

Metal stud framing is 90% complete, drywall has been installed on the corridor walls, masonry has started and the mechanical, electrical, fire and plumbing rough-ins are continuing.

Jeffersonville High School

Project Overview

 Exterior Skin of the Building (North & South Elevations)Demolition and erection of exterior metal studs & sheathing are complete. We are continuing to erect masonry, EIFS and windows.

Corridors (1st Floor)
-Old ductwork has been removed from the main corridor and is being replaced with new ductwork.
-he main stairs have been removed and the new structural stairs are being erected. Placement of terrazzo will commence after erection.

Unit A - Renovation of the Old Administration Area This area is complete and ready for inspection in regards to generating a punch list.

Unit B - New Science Classrooms
-wo science rooms are being renovated and waiting for casework delivery in order to commence VCT installation.
-ainting of walls and the erection of ceilings are complete.

Units A and C, 2nd Floor, North Section of Building
The East and West classrooms have been turned-over to the Owner for move-in. Carpet is being laid in these rooms. Casework is located on-site.

Unit F - Kitchen Area
All underground installations are complete. The concrete slab has been replaced. The erection of masonry walls is complete. The freezer/cooler curbs have been set. All overhead installations will be complete by July 22nd.

Unit F Cafeteria Area
ll overhead installations are complete. All masonry work is complete.

Unit G - Industrial Art Classrooms (Rooms 106, 107 & 108)
Continue to pull electrical wire from the new electrical switchgear to their designated electrical panels.

Unit J Main / Auxiliary Gymnasiums
The installations that were installed last summer are being painted this summer.

Floyd Central High School Athletic Complex Overview

 

General Comments

None

 

Site Work

The field has been seeded and fertilized, and the irrigation has been installed.  The flag poles, goal posts and scoreboard beams have been installed and are ready for Owner provided Scoreboard.  Parking lot sub-grade established and the site concrete is 75% complete.

 

Buildings:

Concession Building - Ceiling grid and painting are complete, light fixtures are being hung, site concrete around building is nearly complete, temporary glass installed, casework and plumbing fixtures are onsite and the HVAC is up and running.

 

Soccer Building - Electrical work has started, drywall ceilings are hung and the stairs have been installed.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview


General Comments
The Owner moved into the New Administration Area and the Band/Orchestra Rooms in early May.


Site Work
All underground utilities are complete at the West Parking Lot including curbs, light pole bases and sidewalks.  Asphalt base has started.  Seeding has been done in front of the new Two Story Addition and light poles have been set.  We will begin the new sidewalks at the main entry after demo has been completed in the Commons.  Rough grade around the New Band Addition has started, and the new walk to the Band Addition has started, as well as the setting of the new light poles.  Demo behind the Auditorium has started for the new Storage Area.


New 2-story Classroom Addition
Cleaning and resealing of the block walls has begun.  Continuing with completion of punch list items.


Administration Area
We will complete all the new doorways including the Office Area and Main Rotunda prior to the beginning of School.


Partial Upper Unit C / Unit A (Band / Orchestra Addition)
Unit C:  Completed the demo of the HVAC unit in the Mechanical Room behind the new Dance Room, and we have started renovation of the Aux. Gym Locker Rooms.  All ceilings have been removed in hallways between the Gym and Auditorium.  We have started demo of the New Health Rooms.

Unit A:  Doorways at entrance to student parking are complete, canopy ceiling is nearly complete, and installation of flooring has begun in both the North and South Corridors.  Will complete sound system and punch list before school starts.


Pool/Pool Storage Rooms
Pool:  Begin painting pool, will start floor prep after painting is complete and schedule Pool Contractor to install pool liner after flooring is complete.


Pool Storage Rooms:  These rooms are complete and have been turned over for the Owner’s use.


Commons Area Steel:
Commons Area Steel:  Demo of the old kitchen area, bookstore, computer labs, and temporary walls between the new kitchen are complete.  The footings for the Southern half of steel are poured and steel erection has begun.  Metal stud framing will follow the steel, including new windows and roofing.  The Northern half of the lower steel has been removed and metal stud framing has started for the Common Area walls.  The wall for the new Planetarium Area has been removed and the old office area demo is complete.  Framing and masonry will start for the walls in the Corridors.


Mechanical Pipe Routes:
The mechanical room work will continue throughout the project.


Restrooms between Gyms:
 
These rooms are complete and we are working on the punch list.


Partial of Ms. Hampton’s Area:
These rooms are complete except for the new sound system which will be completed by the beginning of School.

New Kitchen & Cafeteria:
 
Kitchen Area masonry is complete.  The ceiling grid, painting, floor tile, kitchen equipment and freezer/cooler have all started.  At the completion of the masonry wall between Commons and Cafeteria, we will start the ceiling grid.  Fiber optic line has been moved so the last window and wall can be completed now.


New Special Ed Area

Masonry and framing are complete, and hanging of drywall has begun.  Underground plumbing is nearly complete.  Windows are being installed after the brick is completed and will apply drywall finishes.

Four Classrooms at West End: 
  
Exterior brick is nearly complete.  Windows will be installed after brick is completed.

New Science Rooms:
 
Owner has moved out and the demo has started.


New Media Center:
 
Owner has moved out and demo is nearly completed.


Unit B – Auditorium:
 
Demo is complete.  Foundations and slabs for orchestra pit are almost complete.  Underground plumbing for new dressing rooms is complete.  Demo is nearly complete for old band and orchestra areas.  The masonry, metal studs and drywall have started, and painting in the hallways for new grid are to start soon, as well as grid.

New Albany High School - Weight Room Addition Overview

 

 The project is complete.  The punch list items are corrected and were reviewed on February 3, 2009 with VPS and the Owner.  We are currently obtaining the closeout documents and finalizing the billings and change orders.

Floyd Central High School Athletic Complex Overview

 
General Comments

 None

 

 Site Work

Completion of the paving, rubberized track, site grading, seeding, and fencing will begin once weather allows.  As soon as the fencing, rubberized track and seeding are complete, we will turn over the use of the track area only to the Owner for track practice.

 

Buildings:

 Concession Building  -  Masonry work is complete.  The steel joists and deck have been set.  Roofing has started.  The bleacher system installation continues.  The press box will be set on top of the bleacher system the week of April 6th.  We will begin installation of the exterior doors once the roof is completed.  The permanent power and water have been turned on to the building.

 

Soccer Building  -  Masonry work is complete.  The second floor and roof framing have begun.  We will continue with installation of the roof.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

 
General Comments

-29 classrooms in the two-story addition were turned over during Spring Break.

 -The Administration Area and the Restrooms between the Gyms will be turned over to the Owner on May 1st.

 

 Site Work

 We are continuing work on the West Parking Lot (Old Football Field).  The storm lines have been installed at the West Lot.  We are setting light poles and installing topsoil in front of the new two story addition.  We have started to clean around the new Band/Orchestra Addition.

 

 New 2-story Classroom Addition

 We turned over 29 classrooms during Spring Break.  The owner moved into a few rooms during spring break and the rest the week afterwards.  The remaining 1 classroom, a storage room, and the elevator will be turned over May 1st.

 

 Administration Area

 We are currently painting, installing ceiling grid, and installing woodwork.  We will begin installation of casework and carpet, and continue work in the rotunda.  This area will be turned over on May 1st.

 

 Partial Upper Unit C / Unit A (Band / Orchestra Addition)

 Unit C:  The flooring has been installed in the weight room and cardio room.  We are in the process of getting the elevator inspected for access to the second floor of the Band area.

 

Unit A:  We are continuing brick work.  We have begun drywall finishes, installation of sound doors, and setting of windows.  We will begin painting and ceiling grid work.  The stairs and rails within the orchestra and band rooms have been set and treads are poured.  The lockers and aluminum entrances in the corridor have been installed.

 

 Pool/Pool Storage Rooms

 Pool:  The column repair work has been completed.  We have begun painting.  The pool liner will be installed after the painting, and the flooring will follow.

 Pool Storage Rooms:  These rooms are complete and have been turned over for the Owner’s use.

 

 Commons Area Steel:

 Commons Area Steel:  The ceilings have been removed throughout the main spine of the building during Spring Break, with the exception of the kitchen area.  This allowed us to relocate utilities during Spring Break as well.  We installed the new foundations for some of the new steel columns to be installed this summer.  The entire existing roof (Lower roof) will be removed in the Summer of 2009.

 

 Mechanical Pipe Routes

 The mechanical room work will continue throughout the project.

 

 Restrooms between Gyms:

 We have completed the demolition.  Painting in complete and ceiling grid has been installed.  The plumbing fixtures are being installed.  Ceramic tile will start after the completion of the fixtures.  This area is to be turned over on May 1st.

 

 Partial of Ms. Hampton’s Area:

 The demolition has been completed.  Painting has started.  Ceiling grid work will start after the painting is complete.

 


New Kitchen & Cafeteria:

 

 We have completed the demolition.  We are continuing the underground plumbing and electrical rough-ins.  We have started preparations for pouring the new concrete floor within the new Kitchen area.  Once that is complete we will start metal stud framing and masonry work.

 
New Special Ed Area:

 We installed the temporary wall during Spring Break.  We have begun the interior demolition, as well as the removal of the exterior brick.  The new brick installation has begun.  We will continue rough-ins and demolition as areas are turned over to us.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

 
Exterior Skin of the Building 
-Along the North elevation, the upper half of the existing skin has been removed and replaced with drywall material.
-2 of 6 bays have been completed along the North elevation.  We will be starting our 3rd bay during the week of May 11th.

         

Unit A – Renovation of the Old Administration Area

Turnover to the Owner is scheduled for June 8th.

Unit A – New Science Classrooms

One of the science rooms has been turned-over to the Owner.

Unit B – New Addition, Science Rooms

Underground plumbing and electrical lines are complete for (3) science classrooms.

 

Units B and D, 2nd Floor, North Section of Building

-Ceiling grid is being erected.  Light fixtures are being placed within the ceiling grid system.  Interior walls are being painted.  Mechanical and electrical finishes are being installed.
-Scheduled to turnover the remaining classrooms June 8th.

Unit F – Loading Dock Area

Cooling towers and (1) of the chillers were activated during the week of May 4th.


Unit G – Industrial Art Classrooms (106, 107 & 108)

-The new air handling unit and new electrical switchgear have been placed in their designated locations at the elevated mechanical deck and hook-ups have commenced.


Unit J Existing Athletic Locker Rooms/Athletic Office (East of Gymnasium)

-The athletic office and trophy room have been renovated and turned-back over to the Owner.
-Working on the renovation of the Girl’s locker rooms.

Units J / K – Elevator / Corridor / Locker Room / Mechanical Addition

-The elevator contractor is nearly complete with the installation of the new elevator.
-Exterior finishes are being erected and finished.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

 
The overall project is 64% complete.

 
Unit A - Old Administration Area and Unit A - Science Classrooms

Continue to erect interior walls and install mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-ins.
New masonry walls are complete.

Unit B – New Addition, Science Rooms

Demolition is complete and installation of underground plumbing lines has started.

Demolition is complete and we have started installing mechanical and electrical overhead installations.

The elevated mechanical deck has been erected and the slab-on-deck has been placed.  All mechanical / electrical equipment that rest on this deck are located on-site.

The elevator contractor has mobilized and has started installation of the new elevator.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview


The overall project is 61% complete.


Unit A - Old Administration Area and Science Classroom
During the 1st week of March we started demolition work within the old administration area. In addition, we recommenced our work within Unit A science classroom.

 

Unit B – New Addition, Science Rooms

Science classrooms have been turned-over to the Owner for occupancy.

Units B and D, 2nd Floor, Middle Section of Building

The next set of (16) classrooms are scheduled to be turned-over March 13th.

 
Unit F – Loading Dock Area

The new emergency generator was energized this past month. Continuing to route chilled water lines to the cooling towers and chillers.


Unit G – Industrial Art Classrooms (106, 107 & 108)

Demolition and placement of foundations within these classrooms is complete and we are ready for steel erection.

 

Units J / K – Locker Room / Mechanical Addition

Continuing to erect exterior masonry walls.  Placement of floor slabs and setting of mechanical equipment are scheduled to be complete this month.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

The overall project is 60% complete and we have expended approximately $22 million dollars.

Unit B - New Addition, Science Rooms
Casework has been installed. Mechanical and electrical hook-ups at each work station are complete.

 Interior finishes are proceeding and the turnover date for this phase is early March.

Unit F - Loading Dock Area
New Cooling Towers and Emergency Generator have been set in their permanent location outside the Boiler Room. We are proceeding on infilling existing louver openings and the setting of new louvers.

Unit F - Entrance and Cafeteria Expansion
Placement of exterior Patio Area and sidewalks/steps are complete.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
Ice and snow storm has slowed exterior work.

Site Work
Sidewalks were installed at the Band Addition for egress of students (tunnel has been removed).  Sidewalks at the Industrial Tech area are complete.  The new Main Entrance off of Old Vincennes Road is open.

New 2-story Classroom Addition
Foam roofing is completed; brick veneer continues; continue the installation of windows behind brickwork; completed the temporary enclosures; will start the brickwork at the rotunda in the near future; the middle and West stairs are complete; continuing the drywall and finishes; mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire rough-ins are continuing;  elevator installation is complete; ceiling grid work has begun; casework will begin soon; and the temporary wall has started to be removed and lockers are being relocated.

New Art Rooms Addition
We will move the CAD Teacher to the middle Art Room and work on completing Punch List items.

Partial Upper Unit C / Unit A (Band / Orchestra Addition)
Unit C:  The roof top units have been set; ductwork will be completed after February 21st; masonry wall is complete in the Weight Room; will begin to paint weight room and install light fixtures; will set up installation of flooring in Weight Room, Cardio, and Dance rooms.

Unit A:  Tunnel entrance has been removed and student egress has moved to the North and South.  Steel detailing is complete; begin metal stud framing; resume brick work behind framing; install foam roof (weather dependant); continue mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection rough-ins; begin to install steps; and nearly complete with interior masonry.

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms
Pool:  The new pool equipment is nearly complete; rooftop unit is set and ductwork is nearly complete; will start painting in near future.

Pool Storage Rooms:  Installation of flooring is nearly complete; will perform punch list and turn over to Owner.

Commons Area Steel
Commons Area Steel:  Windows are complete; continue with relocation of utilities.  Lower roof to be removed in the Summer of 2009.

Mechanical Pipe Routes
The mechanical room work will continue throughout the project.

Existing Art Rooms (Industrial Tech)
Painting is complete; installing extra data and electrical outlets; flooring is nearly complete; doors and hardware are complete; punch list will be issued very soon and Owner will move in.

FCHS Athletic Complex Overview

General Comments
None

Site Work
No work as been performed due to weather.  We will complete the rubberized coating of the track when weather allows.

Buildings
Masonry is about 80% complete.  The Bleacher erection is complete; we are currently detailing the structure.  We will continue work when weather allows.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

The overall project is 58% complete and we have expended approximately $22 million dollars. 

Unit A – New Addition, Administration Area
    -Interior Finishes will be complete this week

FCHS Athletic Complex Overview

General Comments

None

Site Work

Temporary seeding is complete; track has been paved; fencing has started; will begin the rubberized coating on the track; footbridge has been installed and all site utilities are complete.

Buildings

Concessions building slab is poured; masonry block walls are 50% complete; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins are continuing and the steel structure for the bleachers should arrive on December 15th.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
None

Site Work
Installing storm lines at new parking area; completed demo; begin installation of base course; install parking lot lights; complete new entrance from Old Vincennes; install curbs and walks at Southwest corner by new ITE Labs; install walks at Band Addition for egress to student parking lot.

Unit A: Brick veneer on North and South sides are complete, all second floor concrete is complete, masonry is nearly complete, tunnel entrance will be blocked off and egress moved to the North and South until Rotunda Area is complete.

ROTC: Owner has moved in and Punch List has been issued.

Cross Cut Hallway: Complete except for flooring and Punch List being issued.

Gym Locker Rooms: Owner has moved in.

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms
Pool: Demolition of pool equipment is complete. Began installation of new pool equipment and will continue with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire rough-ins. Will start painting Pool Room and begin patching and coating the pool.

Pool Storage Rooms: The floor is installed. Will begin painting, installation of doors and hardware, and installation of temporary doors to pool and open pool hallway.

Commons Area Steel:

NAHS Weight Room Overview

The sitework is continuing (exterior concrete and asphalt work) with hopes to finish this week, weather dependent. Temporary plastic has been installed for heating purposes. Drywall is being hung and finished. Electrician has pulled all of their wiring. The Air Handling Unit has been set. The roof drains are set, piped, and insulated. The roof system has been installed. The domestic water lines are installed and insulated. The hydronic lines are being installed. The temperature control contractor is on-site continuing their work. The Variable Frequency Drive is being installed.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

The overall project is 49% complete and we have expended approximately $18.5 million dollars. 

Units A/B - Addition
Installation of the metal roofing system at the main entrance and at the North and South entrances continues.  Ceiling grid and light fixtures have been erected in Unit A and we continue to work in Unit B.  The setting of casework is scheduled for November 11th.  Storefronts will be erected during the week of November 3rd thus allowing us to heat the new addition.  We are still scheduled to turnover this area to the Owner during Christmas Break, thus allowing construction trades to occupy the old administration area.

Units B and D, 2nd Floor
This area was completed and turned-over to the Owner for their use.  Sixteen classrooms will be transitioned from the middle section of the 2nd floor into the newly renovated classrooms.

Unit E – Main Entrance
A temporary enclosure has been erected in order to complete the interior finishes within the entrance.  Once the storefronts are complete at Units A/B addition, Unit E will be erected.

Unit F – Entrance and Cafeteria Expansion
The mechanical hook-ups to the new Air Handling Units are nearly complete.  In addition, the pulling of electrical wire and final terminations to the new switchgear will be completed this month.

Unit J – Gymnasium and Unit K Auxiliary Gymnasium
We have started erecting acoustical wall panels within the Auxiliary Gym and the completion of the panels will be performed over Christmas Break.

Unit J – Stairs and Elevator Addition
Concrete foundations will be complete by the middle of November.  Masonry contractor is scheduled to remobilize on November 10th to start erecting masonry at this location.  Elevator casing was drilled in early November.

FCHS Athletic Complex Overview

The Sitework Contractor has completed the drainage system under the new football field and the new water line to the concession building.  They will begin to seed all areas this week.  The paving, fencing and rubberized track surface will begin very soon.  The bridge foundations were installed last week and the new bridge should be set next week.

The General Contractor has completed the foundations to the concession and soccer buildings, as well as the grandstands.  The concrete slab has been poured at the soccer field.  Underground rough-ins at the concessions has started and we should pour this slab by next week.  Color for the split face block has been selected; we will start installation once block is received.

The Site Electrical Contractor has completed all the underground utilities.  All the site lighting has been completed.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
None

Site Work
The installation of the storm line, curb, and sidewalk from Edwardsville-Galena Road up to the existing Football Field is completed.  Seeding and straw have been completed outside the fence.  We will begin demolition on the existing Football Field and start constructing the Parking Lot after the last Football Game.

New 2-story Classroom Addition
All structural steel has been set and steel detailing is nearly completed.  Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection rough-ins are continuing along with the framing.  We will begin foam roofing, continue the brick work, and the elevator has been delivered.

New Art Rooms Addition
The punch list has been issued and is being completed.  The new furniture has been delivered and installed.  The certificate of occupancy was issued and the Owner has occupied the Art Rooms since the beginning of October.

North End of the Upper Level in the Auxiliary Gymnasium
Painting has been completed in the Wrestling, Dance, and Cardio Rooms.  All of the new lights have been installed.  The temporary walls have been removed and the new doors have been installed.  Stair #17 has been set and the steps will be poured very soon.  The elevator has been delivered and the installation has started.  Ceramic tile in Restrooms C147 & C148 has been completed.  Plumbing fixtures have been set and installation of the toilet partitions and accessories will begin.

New Band/Orchestra Addition
Several of the masonry walls were damaged in the wind storm and have been cleaned up and rebuilt.  Masonry is currently 60% complete.  Structural Steel components are being set.  The 2nd floor slabs have started to be poured.  The schedule is approximately 4 weeks behind, due to the wind storm on September 14, 2008.

ROTC/Cross Cut Hallway/Gym Locker Rooms
ROTC:  Painting, acoustical ceilings, ceramic tile, plumbing fixtures, and lockers are completed.  Flooring has started and doors & hardware will be done as the flooring is completed.  Stair #20 to the Commons Area is being set and poured.  The Owner move in is schedule for this week.

Cross Cut Hallway:  Painting and wood trim is completed.  Acoustical ceiling is nearly completed.  Floor will be leveled and installation of flooring will begin.  The Owner will move-in prior to the flooring being completed.  The Owner move-in is scheduled for this week.

Gym Locker Rooms:  The lockers and acoustical ceilings are completed.  The ceramic tile has started and installation of plumbing fixtures, toilet partitions, toilet accessories, and doors and hardware will begin.  The Owner move-in is scheduled for this week.

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms
Pool:  Demolition of the old pool equipment has completed.  We have started installing the new pool equipment and will continue with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire rough-ins.  We will start painting the Pool Room and begin patching and coating the Pool.

Pool Storage Rooms:  We will begin final painting this week.

Commons Area Steel/Commons Restrooms
Commons Area Steel:  The installations of the metal panels and windows have started.  We will continue with the foam roofing.

Commons Restroom:  The restrooms have been completed and are open for use.

Mechanical Pipe Routes
The mechanical room work will continue throughout the project.

Existing Art Rooms (Industrial Tech):
The temporary wall has been constructed and demolition is nearly completed.  The framing and rough-ins have started.  We will begin replacing the exterior brick and a temporary fence has been installed to separate students from workers at this location.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

The overall project is 44% complete and we have expended approximately $13 million dollars.  The existing roof elevations have been re-roofed with the exception of the 2-story building, thus solving a vast majority of the roof leaks within the building.  Also, a portion of the building is running off the new electrical transformers which were set and energized this past summer.  On October 17th, one of the old transformers will be decommissioned and electrical feeders will be transferred to one of the new transformers.

The new boilers, pumps and water heaters are energized and operational.  The new gas service and meters have been set and are waiting for final transition from the building to the new meter which will be performed on October 17th.  Several classrooms were renovated during the summer months and are being utilized as temporary classrooms while a Southern portion of the 2nd floor is being renovated.

Units A/B - Addition
Erection of exterior and interior masonry is complete.  Interior metal studs and drywall have been erected in Unit A.  Overhead rough-ins for mechanical, electrical and fire protection are approximately 90% complete.  Installation of exterior windows and placement of the roofing system are complete.  Aluminum storefronts will be erected during the month of October.  We are scheduled to turnover this area to the Owner during Christmas Break thus allowing construction trades to occupy the old administration area.

Units B and D, 2nd Floor
Erection of mechanical/electrical overhead rough-ins and the installation of ceiling grid are complete.  Light fixtures are being set within the grid system.  Re-setting of the toilet fixtures in order to meet ADA requirements is complete.  Painting of the classrooms, restrooms and corridor is complete.  Placement of floor finishes has commenced.

Unit E – Main Entrance
The placement of the roofing system, installation of the exterior windows and placement of the EIFS system are complete.  Interior bulkheads have been erected and the installation of the ductwork within the bulkheads is complete.  Overhead and wall rough-ins for electrical rough-ins are complete.  New storefronts will be erected during the month of October thus allowing the installation of interior finishes.

Unit F – Entrance and Cafeteria Expansion
The erection of structural steel and the placement of the concrete slabs are complete for the new entrance and cafeteria expansion.  Erection of metal stud framing and masonry continues along the exterior skin of the building.  The new air handling units and electrical switchgear units have been placed on the mezzanine level and are currently being hooked-up.  Placement of the roofing system is scheduled to commence during the 2nd week of October.

Unit J – Gymnasium and Unit K Auxiliary Gymnasium
The re-routing of roof drains, erecting of new ductwork and the erection of new sprinkler lines are complete.  Installation of new acoustical panels in the Auxiliary Gym is scheduled for Christmas Break.  The expansion of the mezzanine decks within the (2) mechanical rooms continues and is expected to be completed this month.

Exterior Shell of the Building
The erection of the Exterior Insulation Finish System (EIFS) is complete along the East and West elevations of the 2-story building.  The overall placement of the roofing system is 90% complete which is ahead of schedule.  Exterior windows are being installed along the East and West elevations of the 2-story building.

NAHS Weight Room Overview

The utilities and cabling from the existing building have been run to the new addition.  The underground electrical and plumbing within the new addition are complete.  The foundations are complete.

The existing windows have been removed and are being blocked in.  The masonry block foundation walls are being continued.  The structural steel is being delivered on September 2nd and the erection of the steel components will start thereafter.  The foundations are being backfilled.

NAHS Weight Room Overview

This project is just getting started.

 The construction fence has been installed and the jobsite trailer has been mobilized.  Temporary power has been provided to the trailer.  The existing concrete walks and planters are being removed.  The electricians and plumbers are starting to run conduit and piping across Aux. Gym.

FCHS Athletic Complex Overview

This project is just getting started.

 The lights and poles have been removed and turned over to the Owner.  The Concession Building and Storage Building have been removed.  The entire Football Complex is being brought up to sub-grade.  Once sub-grade is finally reached, the site electrical items will start to be installed.  After the underground items have been installed, the Concession Building will begin.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
The students and staff are back in the building.  Everything went smooth with them entering back into the building.

Prior to opening the new Art Rooms the Temporary Entrance will have to be relocated.  We reviewed our plan with Mr. Wiseheart and Mr. Jensen.  This relocation work is underway.

Site Work
The loading dock is nearly complete.  The sidewalks in front of the Art Rooms are complete and the fence has been removed.  The seed and straw will be completed in the areas outside the fence.  The fence has been installed at the Bus/Band Parking Lot, temporary parking lot has been installed for Student Parking, and the striping at the temporary/bus parking lot is completed.

The 2nd floor bearing walls have started and the 1st & 2nd floor slabs have been poured.  Metal stud framing has started and the M/E/P/F Rough-ins will be continuing.  The elevator shaft is completed.

New Art Rooms Addition
The brick and windows are complete.  The painting, ceiling grid, and casework have started.  The M/E/P/F Rough-ins are complete and will begin installing light fixtures.  The Owner Furnished furniture is scheduled for delivery on September 15th.

ROTC:  The painting is around 85% complete.  The acoustical ceilings, ceramic tile, flooring, and the locker installations have started.  The Owner Furnished furniture is scheduled for delivery on September 15th.

Cross Cut Hallway:  The hallway framing is complete, the ceiling and flooring will start as soon as the gym lockers have been installed.

Gym Locker Rooms:  The framing and masonry is completed.  The painting, ceramic tile and the locker installations have started.

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms
The Pool sandblasting is completed.  The M/E/P/F Rough-ins are continuing and the pool equipment will start being installed.

Pool Storage Rooms:  The temporary classroom will be completed.

Commons Area Steel/Commons Restrooms

Commons Area Steel:  The steel is completed. The acoustical deck, foam roof, and metal framing are 70% complete.  The metal clad panels and windows will start in the near future.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
None

Site Work
The curbs have been completed in the front and at the student Parking Lot.  Asphalt base is also complete.  The sidewalks have been poured outside the Construction Areas.  Temporary fence is being relocated and temporary walks for the Main Entrance will be completed prior to July 31st.  Striping of the Parking Lot and Signage will be installed for traffic direction in the near future.  The work at the Loading Dock will begin very soon.

New 2-story Classroom Addition
The 1st Floor masonry bearing walls and the 2nd Floor steel bar joists are completed.  The 2nd Floor decking and the concrete decking will be starting soon.  Setting of steel is nearly complete.

New Art Rooms Addition
The framing and masonry are complete.  The drywall work is continuing.  The mechanical, electrical, fire, and plumbing rough-ins are nearly complete.  Field measurements of the windows and casework are completed.  The temporary entrance through E107 is nearly complete.  The brick work has started.

Unit C:  The elevator shaft and metal stud framing are completed.  The drywall and mechanical, electrical, fire, and plumbing rough-ins are nearly complete.  Painting is continuing.  The masonry Stair #17 is nearly complete and we will begin setting the steel for Stair #17.

Unit A:  The foundation work continues and the underground plumbing is nearly complete.  The construction of the egress tunnel and temporary sidewalk for student parking will start prior to July 31st.

ROTC/Cross Cut Hallway/Gym Locker Rooms
ROTC:  The mechanical, electrical, fire, and plumbing rough-ins are complete.  Painting is nearly complete.  The acoustical ceiling has started and the flooring and ceramic tile will begin soon.

Cross Cut Hallway is nearly complete.

Gym Locker Rooms:  The mechanical, electrical, fire, and plumbing rough-ins and the masonry are nearly complete.  The metal stud framing has started.

Pool/Pool Storage Rooms
The Pool demolition is complete.  Demolition of Pool Equipment and sandblasting of Pool Tank will begin in the near future (prior to the start of school).  The mechanical, electrical, fire and plumbing rough-ins will continue.

Pool Storage Rooms:  The masonry is completed.  The temporary electrical and data for the temporary classroom is nearly complete.  Painting has started.

Commons Area Steel/Commons Restrooms
The steel detailing is nearly complete.  The acoustical roof deck has been set and the foam roofing and metal stud framing have started.  The masonry and metal stud framing for the restrooms has started.  The foundations have been poured and the steps for the ROTC have started.  The plumbing fixtures have been delivered and the toilet partitions and access panels have been ordered.  Clean-up of the Commons Area will be complete this week.

Mechanical Pipe Routes
The mechanical room work and electrical work are completed, including the new emergency generator.  The HVAC will be back up and running by July 25th and the HVAC piping will continue through the School year for the additions.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

Units A/B - Addition
Erection of structural steel and erection of exterior masonry are nearing completion.  Placement of floor slabs is complete.  Erection of metal stud framing along the East elevation of the existing building will be complete by Tuesday, August 6th thus allowing the placement of the roofing system.

Unit A – Future Science Classrooms
All underground rough-ins are complete and the placement of the floor slabs is scheduled for Thursday, August 8th.

Units B and D, 2nd Floor
Demolition is complete.  Erection of mechanical/electrical overhead rough-ins continued.  Masonry patching, masonry in-fills and erection of new masonry walls are complete.

Unit C – Future Science Classrooms Renovation
Erection of ceiling grid and placement of new light fixtures are progressing and will be operational for the start of school.  Casework has been delivered and will be set prior to the start of school.

Unit D - Classroom Renovation
Ceiling systems are being erected within the room.

Unit E - Future MDF Room
The transition of the data system occurred last month as scheduled.  The ceiling system and placement of the remaining VCT will occur this month.

Unit E – Main Entrance
Structural steel has been erected and erection of parapet wall has commenced.  New entrances to the Media Center have occurred.  This entrance will be utilized by the students and staff for the start of school.

Unit F – Entrance
Building foundations have been poured and placement of the floor slab is scheduled for Monday, August 5th.  Steel erection will commence after the slab placement.  This entrance will be utilized by the students and staff for the start of school.

Boiler Room
The new electrical switchgear and exterior transformers were energized during the month of July.  In addition, the gas company has routed their new gas line to the new gas meter.  The mechanical contractor is scheduled to route his line from the meter to inside the building prior to the start of school.

Unit J – Gymnasium
The new mechanical units have been set and erection of new mechanical ductwork is complete.  New sprinkler piping has been erected outside the mechanical rooms.

Exterior Shell of the Building
The EIFS system is currently being erected along the West elevation and they will proceed to the East elevation once they are complete with the West elevation.  A new roofing system has been placed on 90% of the existing roof system.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

Units A/B - Addition
Foundations are complete and facebrick is being erected on the exterior skin of the building.  Mechanical and electrical underground continue to be placed within the building footprint.  Placement of floor slabs is scheduled for July 2nd and 7th.  Erection of remaining structural steel will commence subsequent to the placement of slabs.

Unit A – Future Science Classrooms
Demolition is complete and the General Contractor is proceeding on foundations.

Units B and D, 2nd Floor
Demolition of carpeting is complete in the classrooms and the only areas that remain are the corridors.  Overhead and wall rough-ins continue.

Unit C – Future Science Classrooms Renovation
Underground installations are complete.  Placement of slab is scheduled for July 7th.

Unit D - Classroom Renovation
Masonry walls are being painted and overhead installations continue to be erected.

Unit E - Future MDF Room
Interior walls have been painted and the placement of the flooring system is complete.  MDF equipment will be set on July 3rd.  This room is expected to be turned-over to the Owner during the 2nd week of July. 

Unit E – Main Entrance
Demolition and steel erection is complete.  During the week of June 30th, the underground plumbing line will be installed.

Unit F – Entrance
Building foundations have been determined and excavation of foundations is expected to commence the first week of July.

Unit F - Boiler Room
Back-filling and the placement of underground plumbing is complete within the  recessed area of the boiler room.  Slab placement will be performed during the 2nd week of July.

Electrical switchgear is set and the electrical wire has been pulled from the switchgear to the exterior location of the new transformers.  Duke Energy has approved this installation and will proceed on installing their feeders from the transformers to the street location.

Unit J – Gymnasium
Demolition of the ductwork system is complete and erection of the new spiral ductwork has started.  Erection of the sprinkler system is complete for this area with the exception of the mechanical rooms. 

Exterior Shell of the Building
The removal of the exterior facebrick and masonry block at the West elevation of the 2-story building is complete.  Parapet wall is being constructed along this elevation.  General contractor is proceeding with the removal of the exterior skin along the South elevation. 

Roof Level
Placement of the new roofing system is approximately 50% complete. 

Site Work
As of June 30th, the gas company started the installation of the new gas line from Allison Lane to the new location of the meter.  The setting of new meter(s) and the removal of the old meters will be complete prior to the start of school in the Fall.

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

Units A/B - Addition 
Placement of foundations is nearly complete.  Majority of the structural steel is set with exception of the metal joists and decking.  Exterior masonry walls are being erected.  Mechanical and electrical underground continue to be placed within the building footprint in order to place the new concrete floors.

Unit J - Elevator/Stairs Addition
Topsoil has been removed, demolition has been completed and a temporary fence has been erected in order to isolate this area from students.  Placement of elevator foundations is being held-up due to an unforeseen storm line which is lying within our new building foundations.

Boiler Room
One of the existing chillers has been relocated and reconnected at its temporary location.  The old chiller and boilers have been removed from the building.  We are in the process of back-filling the recess area of the boiler room in order to pour a new concrete slab at the same elevation as the surrounding slabs.

The new boilers and pumps have been set and pipe connection to the mechanical units is complete. 

Unit A – Future Science Classrooms
As of June 4th, we started demolition activities within this classroom which will be followed by new foundations.

Unit C – Future Science Classrooms Renovation
Demolition activities and the placement of concrete are complete.  We are currently working on erecting structural steel within this classroom.    

Unit D - Classroom Renovation
Demolition activities, erection of structural steel, placement of concrete and erection of masonry walls are complete.  We are currently erecting new overhead installations within these classrooms.    

Unit E - Future MDF Room
Currently the Owner’s computer equipment has been relocated out of these rooms.  The demolition activities and the erection of interior walls are complete.  Painting is scheduled to start during the week of June 9th.   Once the flooring and painting are complete, the new MDF equipment will be set and terminated.

Unit E – Main Entrance
Started demolition activities at this building entrance and at the adjacent classroom. 

Units B and D, 2nd Floor
We have started the demolition activities for the 2nd floor classrooms.

Exterior Shell of the Building
We have started the removal of exterior facebrick and masonry block at the West elevation of the 2-story building followed immediately with the installation of new metal studs and drywall.

Roof Level
Existing chimney stack has been demolished to the roof level.  Roofing contractor continues to vacuum/remove all the loose rock from the various roof levels.  Application of the roofing system has commenced at the West elevation of the building and will proceed to the East elevation.

Site Work
The feeder conduit from the new electrical transformers to the new switchgear location has been installed.  The placement of the new transformer pads is complete and installation of the feeder conduit to Allison Lane is complete.  The new transformers that were furnished by Duke Energy have been set and will be energized once the electrical feeds have been installed from the interior switchgear to the new transformers.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
None

Site Work
The site demolition of the parking lots and drives is nearly complete.  The Site Utilities are being relocated and new storm lines are being installed.  Site fence at the new 2-story addition has been removed and re-installed to make room for the new curbs and asphalt base to be installed this summer.

Site demolition of the Tennis Courts behind Galena is complete and the installation of the storm utilities is continuing.  The curbs, sidewalks, and asphalt base will follow this summer.

New 2-story Classroom Addition
The masonry bearing walls will start in the near future.  Structural steel erection is continuing.  Underground plumbing is complete.

New Art Rooms Addition
The colored concrete slab has been poured.  Metal stud framing has begun.  Foamed roof is to be installed this week.  MEP/FP rough-ins are continuing.

North Half of Commons Area
The roof demolition for the new columns is complete.  Demo of restrooms by ROTC steps has begun.  They will start setting new columns very soon.

North End of the Upper Level in the Auxiliary Gymnasium
The mechanical, electrical, and fire protection rough-ins are continuing.  The East elevator and the Stair #17 demolition are nearly completed.  Masonry is complete at the old racquetball courts.  We will begin setting steel and will follow with 2nd floor concrete pour.

New Band/Orchestra Addition
The construction of the new building pad is nearly complete.  The foundations and underground work will start immediately after the pad is completed.

Main Gym Locker Rooms / Basement (Existing ROTC location) / New Hallway
Main Gym Locker Room – Demolition is complete.  Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire rough-ins are continuing.  Masonry walls are continuing.

ROTC – MEP/FP rough-ins are continuing.

Storage Rooms in Pool Area
Door frames have been set.  Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection rough-ins are continuing.  Masonry work is also continuing.

Mechanical/Electrical Pipe Routes
Demolition of the old mechanical room is complete.  The continuations of the new pipe routes to the additions are on-going.  Demo for new electrical closet near Special Education room has started.  The electrical power shutdown work to install new transformer should be complete this week.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments

Site Work
The site demolition at the new 2-story addition for the Band/Orchestra area is nearly complete except for entrance.

The relocation of the storm utilities at the rear of the school is nearly complete.  Site demolition for partial Tennis Courts behind Galena, will complete demolition and install parking lot this summer.

New 2-story Classroom Addition
All footings and foundations are nearly complete; masonry bearing walls have been started.  Structural steel is being delivered and erection has begun.  Underground plumbing is nearly completed.  The slab on grade work will start in the near future. 

New Art Rooms Addition
The installation of underground plumbing and electrical is complete.  The foundations are also complete.  The structural steel erection is nearly complete.  MEP/FP Rough-ins have started.  Metal stud framing on Roof has started.  The slab on grade work has started this week.

North End of the Upper Level in the Auxiliary Gymnasium
The walls have been erected along with the new door and window frames.  The mechanical, electrical, and fire protection rough-ins are continuing.  Drywall is currently being installed.  Demolition is continuing at the racquetball courts.  These areas will become the new wrestling room, weight lifting room, cardio room, and dance room.  The East elevator and the SW Stair demolition are nearly completed.

Main Gym Locker Rooms / Basement (Existing ROTC location) / New Hallway
Main Gym Locker Room – Demolition is complete.  Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire rough-ins are continuing.  Masonry walls are continuing.

ROTC – Demolition and metal stud framing are complete, drywall is nearly complete.  MEP/FP rough-ins are continuing.

Storage Rooms in Pool Area
The pool has been drained.  The new construction of the Temporary Classrooms in the pool has started.  Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire rough-ins have started.  Demolition of new door openings has been completed in the Storage Room’s from Hallway.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments

Site Work

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

General Comments
The appearance of the main entrance will be changing during Spring Break.  There will be signs up directing visitors how to enter the building.

New 2-story Classroom Addition
The temporary fence has been installed.  The existing structure, where the new addition will be placed, has been removed.  We are presently removing the concrete slab, in order, to start preparing for the building pad, the installation of the foundations, and the installation of the underground plumbing and electrical.

New Art Rooms Addition
The temporary fence has been installed around this area as well.  The site demolition has started by removing some obstructions around the existing building.  The demolition inside the existing building is nearly complete.  The existing building demolition will start in the near future.  The main entrance, between these two additions, will be relocated to the South for the removal of the existing canopy during Spring Break.

North End of the Upper Level in the Auxiliary Gymnasium
The walls have been erected along with the new door and window frames.  The mechanical, electrical, and fire protection rough-ins have started.  Drywall is being installed.  This area will become the new wrestling room.

Floyd Central High School Project Overview

 The General Trades Contractor has built the temporary wall dividing the existing building from the addition area. They have relocated lockers and will soon start relocating all the lockers in the common area.  They have completed the demolition within the portion of the building that will be removed.  They have removed the cage in the Aux. Gym.  They will start the demolition of the ROTC area once they are relocated from the basement as well as the Main Gym Locker rooms.  The lay down area and fencing is nearly complete.  The fencing at the front of the school is also nearly complete.  They have also just started the structural demolition.  They will relocate the main doors back about 30’-0” to start the demo of the main entrance (tentatively scheduled for Spring Break).

 The Drywall Contractor has started the metal stud framing on the 2nd floor of Unit “C”.  This area will become the new wrestling area.

 The Mechanical Contractor has continued the demolition and capping of lines.  They have also started the above ceiling coordination process.

 The Fire Sprinkler Contractor has continued the demolition and capping of lines.  They have also started the above ceiling coordination process.

 The Electrical/Technology Contractor has continued the demolition and terminating the existing electrical lines from the demolition area.  They have also started the above ceiling coordination process.  They have also nearly completed the temporary data and outlet drops in the temporary rooms.  They have connected the power to Verkler’s Trailer.

 Work planned to be performed in the next several months:

1. Demoltion of the two-story building in front of school
2. Relocate the front doors back about 30'-0'
3. Relocating site utilities
4. Begin foundations on the two-story addition in front of school
5. Begin dirt work in front of school and at Music Area Unit 'A'

Jeffersonville High School Project Overview

 Units A/B - Addition
Placement of foundations is nearly complete and erection of structural steel is scheduled to commence during the week of May 12th.  The mason continues to place foundation block.  Backfilling of new foundations have started.

 Unit J - Elevator/Stairs Addition
Topsoil has been removed, demolition has been completed and a temporary fence has been erected in order to isolate this area from students.  Excavation for elevator foundations will commence during the week of May 12th.

 Boiler Room

Unit C - Science Classroom Renovation
Demolition within this classroom is nearly complete.  Saw-cutting and removal of existing slab for future foundations has started.

Roof Level
Existing chimney stack has been demolished to the roof level.  Roofing contractor is preparing to vacuum/remove all the loose rock from the roof level.  Once this is complete, the roofing system will be installed from the West direction to the East portion of the building.

Site Work
The feeder conduit from the new electrical transformers to the new switchgear location has been installed.  The placement of the new transformer pads is complete and installation of the feeder conduit to Allison Lane is complete.  We are now waiting on Duke Energy to set their new transformers and set a new utility pole along Allison Lane.
